- Gentileness of the hosts, Helena and Diogo, who give good visits of visits - They both speak very good English which allows you to exchange.- The garden and the view are magnificent.As well as the house.- this is very quiet ;And it's very clean - located next to the train for Corcovado (this can be appreciable when you already have to do more than 2:30 am to go up!) - Possibility of shuttles for the airport and leave the luggage last day before departure.I took advantage of everything and it was very practical and easy.- Helena responsiveness on each exchange via Booking.com - Excellent breakfast.I would have liked to taste everything!And then breakfast with a view of lush vegetation, it's really vacation!- Delicate be careful to provide a bottle of water in the fridge of the room.- And a huge thank you for allowing me to take a shower - because I was lucky that my room was not rented right away - before I left at the airport.I greatly appreciated this attention.

I did not see any inconvenience during these two nights.The climb of the street on foot is tough because it is well stered.No doubt is not suitable for people with difficulties in walking.But the taxi manages very well to go up!

The house is really wonderful just like the people who receive you.A space that invites you to travel in time, to enjoy the best of the flora and fauna of the place, with wonderful views and with details that will remain in our memory.The attention and predisposition of Helena and Diego make this place even more beautiful, always predisposed to any need.Wonderful breakfasts at an ideal table to share with other visitors from different parts of the world.Very comfortable and very well designed rooms, combining comfort, warmth and simplicity with details that make the stay perfect.We were able to directly appreciate the fauna in the magical garden of the house, even some monkeys that played among the branches of the lush trees.The location is perfect since it has short steep climbs to arrive, it is near an avenue with an important commercial sector, and is very close to the train station that arrives at the Christ Redeemer.A place to visit and return a thousand times, magical and unforgettable!

Helena simply wonderful, always helpful and worried about our well -being.The young, clean room, delights the pillows and the bed super comfortable.Large bathroom with a shower with warm water, the room was always kept tidy and clean and both Diogo and Helena were always close and quick to answer.The breakfast super practical and always at a time, besides tasty.The beautiful and entitled landscape to see the monkeys in the property trees from time to time.All well lit and with a nice climate, on the first night we don't even have to turn on the air conditioner.The Corcovado train passes the door and is a delight to hear him pass, leaves the air more romantic.

Helena and Diogo do their very best to make your stay in Rio a great one. I loved the old house with the jungle setting and the views of the valley with beautiful flowers, birds and monkeys and of course their lovely dog, George. Breakfast is big and varied and you will never go hungry. It is a great place to stay if you want to be away from the tourist crowds and stay in a safe and secure area but only a short drive away to the main places such as Copacabana and Ipanema etc.

It's up a steep hill so if you want to walk back it can be a bit of a challenge especially in the heat but there are plenty of ubers and taxis that will take you straight to the front gate.

In addition to the great oceanization in a very pleasant neighborhood, the place offers a beautiful view and an air of warmth amid the sounds of nature with a beautiful garden in the surroundings.All very clean, organized and comfortable.Helena and Diogo are of odd kind, always attentive and helpful, with good tours suggestions and logistics tips for better time.We found in them the same kindness to some additional requests and the good conversations we had.These were happy days and an excellent stay.

We had some difficulty with the shower, which sometimes did not respond immediately to hot water, but promptly the problem was solved when we asked for help.

The host was totally great and the breakfast was excellent.We saw little monkeys in the garden and the garden is beautiful.The free parking lot was also a plus.

You have to know when you are traveling by car that it is challenging to come to the accommodation.It is super steep and you have to cross the railway tracks of the small railway to the Christ statue.In general, the accommodation is not for people who are not on foot.If you don't have a car - or no problem with groan, steep rides up the accommodation is great!

Helena received us when we arrived at the place and we find a wonderful landscape, the main house is really beautiful, we loved the decoration, it is possible to appreciate flora and fauna within the same property, perfect parking.To go to Corcovado you can take the train a few blocks from the house, the department in which we were is perfect, is isolated with air conditioning.Very rich breakfasts, Helena is very friendly and worried that everything is fine, in summary we will return at some time!

The property was very comfortable, rustic and homely with a great central location. Very close to Christ the redeemer. The best part of the stay we’re the hosts who attended to any and all queries promptly and arranged a lovely driving tour of Rio sites which was very useful if you have short time. In the city.

The location was quite high up a steep hill. It’s ok if you can walk, but not all taxi/Uber go all the way up!

Helena and Diego are incredibly great hosts!The communication was great in advance and they were also available to us during the trip.You feel like you are at home and through the somewhat "secluded" location you really have some peace from the big city in the evening.The breakfast was very extensive and prepared with love.

The access to the accommodation is a bit steep and the air conditioning is extremely loud.

The main house is beautiful, we stay in one of the villas.It is located on the Corcovado hill, with a lot of nature and view of the Christ Redeemer.It is as seen in the photos.The attention was 10/10!Much concern for our comfort.

How in the midst of nature there are many insects, spiders, ants, moths.So if you are afraid of insects I do not recommend staying here.While the sector is quiet, it was difficult for us

It is near the rail line for Tijuca in a reserve close to the redeemer. Great breakfast, Helena was friendly and accommodating. We were given a personal tour - it was so good to see the city that way. The monkeys were swinging around having fun with the dog. Peaceful and safe. I recommend it 100%

The hills are always a small challenge yet it is worth going back. The lock on the door entrance needs to be fixed.

The house is simply wonderful, I felt in a fairy tale of these that we are enchanted.The cottage is extremely private, and amid the Tijuca Forest.Returning to the hostel after a ride in Rio, makes you enter a world apart.Host Helena is the embodiment of kindness, always willing to meet our needs, and with a beautiful smile on her face.

The house is beautiful and has a nostalgic air.The room is spacious and comfortable.Dona Helena and her son Diogo are exceptional people and made us absolutely comfortable.

Breakfast was delicious, but it is worth the suggestion that it is a little more varied.The pillows were slightly low, but nothing that compromised the quality of lodging and service.

Excellent location to visit Christ the Redeemer, less than 10 min walk. Helena gave us dinner suggestions, with in walking distance. Breakfast was plentiful and has something for everyone. The bungalow was quiet, bed and linens were great. Plenty of hot water. Property is beautiful, like staying in a garden.

The location is ideal for going to Corcovado, the house overlooks the railway track and has a great charm as well as a magnificent view of the hills of Rio.We were warmly welcomed by Helena who was very attentive to us during our stay.Really separate accommodation in Rio!
