Great place, 10 minutes on foot to the lifting on Mount Urka with the most beautiful views on the city.About half an hour on foot to digging.Excellent staff speaking in English helped us on all issues.Very beautiful views of the mountain with the statue of Christ.There is a pool.Very tasty home breakfast.Thank you very much to the staff, in general we are glad for chosen this particular hotel!

For me and the baby (3 years old), the pool was excellent, but for some it will be small (2x3 meters and a depth below the belt of an adult).There are mosquitoes (December), not a lot but the baby was bitten a couple of times (although there was a fumigator).Internet WiFi is average, you can watch the video, but not during peak hours and preferably from one device.It was on the 3rd floor, on the second it catches better (there is a router).It is difficult to find, the sign is very small.Focus on URCA Grill Bar - this is one building with a hotel, the entrance to the hotel is on the right, if you look at the grill bar.Under the window in the evenings we gather young people and drink beer from the bar on the embankment, the police will always be on duty under the windows.For too long it does not delay and does not interfere with it, but keep in mind, if you are with young children, it may be difficult to lay the most active time from 19-22.

Excellent service from the team and incredible breakfast.It was not possible to checkout, but they were quite flexible to leave the bags at the reception, and we were able to use the bathroom in the pool area to bathe after a day of beach before traveling at night.There was a problem with water supply in the building during our stay (for maintenance that was not the hotel's fault), but quickly relocated us to another room.The view of breakfast was fantastic, as well as a wide variety of breads, pies and jams.The location is very good.I would stay again there.

When I booked I did not attack that there would be so many stairs - my 70 -year -old mother had a little difficulty.It is an old building that turned into a hotel, so sometimes it gives the feeling of being old or a little improvised, but nothing that hindered, and for a short time was perfect.

The hotel is in a wonderful location in Urca.It is close to Praia Vermelha and the station of the Sugar Loaf cable car, as well as the Urca wall.It has a shared bike station in front of the hotel and a military police station.The view of the breakfast site is simply stunning!The owner is very attentive and helpful.

The hotel is not accessible to people with mobility difficulties as it has only stairs.On the first night we slept in a room in which the mattress had holes.The next day we were able to make the bedroom change and the mattress was in perfect condition.The bathroom floor, inside the box, is very slippery, and falls may occur.

A pleasant little hotel in one of the best locations. Iconic view, safe neighborhood, super helpful owner, good breakfast. The location is full of positive energy, there are many pleasant bars and restaurants nearby. The waterfront is always full of young people having fun. Botafogo bay with sailboats, Sugarloaf literally within reach, Corcovado with Christ in every shot.

The mattress was comfortable but the bed frame groaned with every turn and looked like it was about to fall apart. Wifi very strong and fast in the stairwell but crappy and lost in the room. It would require repeaters.

Hotel made my first time in RJ in an exceptional experience!The whole hotel has a great structure, the neighborhood, the location, the bedroom, the breakfast, the staff… are excellent!And Mr. Andreas made it even more amazing with his nominations, but made our tours even more special!An indication of him that I indicate to everyone is the restaurant at the end of Rua Flor da Urca, divine food with a very good value!Looking forward to coming back and already indicating to everyone because it's really amazing!

The only negative point is having to leave this amazing place

Location and breakfast was all homemade and tasty and done on time

The room was terrible.Need a reform.The bedroom window was beside a machine outside where it had workers and a lot of noise.The mosquitoes ate our legs.I left the window open and the smell of the restaurant from below Urca Gril was climbed in the room only frying and oil past 4 days.About the cleaning of the room just passed a broom, the towels were not changed in 4 days and the filthy face towel was not changed either.

The view from the breakfast\pool deck area is stunning. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice with fresh juice and delicious homemade cakes as well. a Lot of beautiful antique furniture in the house.

There was a terrible garlic smell coming from the restaurant below. We could not open our room window at all. The owner said that it is a very big problem for them, but nothing is being done about it. There is no place to hang your towels on in the bathroom.

I loved my stay!From check-in to checkout.The room was very comfortable, impeccable cleaning!The decoration with beautiful pictures was a bonus for me!The breakfast was very tasty, and in an environment (terrace) very pleasant.You could see Christ!Mr.Andreas was very kind and helpful all the time.The location of the hostel is also great: close to restaurant, bakery, pharmacy, bus stop and a police station.And close to Sugar Loaf!I really hope I can return one day!

It was just what I needed arriving in Rio. Fantastic area, staff, breakfast, and room. I arrived early but Andreas was still able to accommodate me. I liked that I had privacy in my room, but could talk to other travellers on the balcony when I was feeling sociable. Urca's a great area too, the safest in Rio apparently

In addition to the location, safe and with a wonderful view, Andreas and its team provided a beautiful, cozy and very pleasant experience.Starting with breakfast, with a variety of jams, folders and creams and pies made by them, the view of breakfast is breathtaking !!

The only thing I have to complain, which was promptly fixed by dear Pedro, was a little problem I had with my shower.

Breakfast was very good! Also the kindness of the staff, which are very genuine. Comfy bed and pillow. Good A/C system. Good location, in front of the police station, with bakeries around and açaí!

The noise during the night and Friday evening, but this is not the hotel's fault. Water pressure was not so strong in the bathroom.
