Shared bathrooms not enough clean, this is very common in hostels around Rio. Hostels in Rio tend to be expensive (this one in particoular), a bed in the 6 beds dormitory it is often over 100 real. But with the same money, you can find private rooms in the city! Apparently young teenagers are willing to pay the same price of a private room but to get just a bed in the dormitory because they are not able to stay by themselves, but need to be in group with other teenagers.

I really loved the location and people that were staying in this Selina. Always down to discuss and go to a Bloco together (I stayed during the carnaval season). The location is perfect if you want to party and there are always guards so you feel safe when you come "home"/to your room.

The location at the entrance of Lapa makes it a perfect stay for people wanting to go out every night, but makes this hostel feel like a fancy bubble in the middle of the dirt of Rio street. Beaches are far away
